Cleaning ducts
It is when we spend most of our time indoors, especially during the cold season, that air quality becomes a concern.
The ventilation ducts of a home’s heating system deserve special attention in order to optimize operation, performance and the quality of the air circulating.
First step, the inspection of the ducts, which will be carried out, among other things, using a camera, if necessary, and otherwise at the customer’s request.
The next step is to perform air duct cleaning to remove contaminants such as pollen, bacteria, dust, mold and debris.
Regular maintenance of these ducts will help prevent certain health problems caused by these contaminants such as respiratory illnesses, allergies, headaches and chronic fatigue, to name a few.
Regular maintenance allows the system to consume less energy. It also prevents premature deterioration in the operation of the heating or air conditioning system, ultimately avoiding costly repairs that could have been avoided.
Changing air filters on a regular basis is, again, an essential factor in maintenance since the filter captures particles emanating from cooking, tobacco or fireplace smoke, animal hair and other types of dust from domestic activities (renovations, among others) and from outside.
Neglecting cleaning and changing the filter can therefore lead to the risk of breathing high levels of dust in addition to compromising the efficiency of the heating system.
